A home that supports the life you choose
From long-term supported homes to short stays and respite, we offer a range of living options across the Latrobe Valley, each with the right level of support.
SIL and SDA explained
The two often work together. One funds the home, the other funds the support inside it.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
SIL is funding for the day-to-day support and staffing that helps a participant live as independently as possible, often in a shared home. It covers help with personal care, daily tasks, skill-building and overnight support.
Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)
SDA is funding for accessible, purpose-built housing for participants with very high support needs or extreme functional impairment. It covers the physical home, built to NDIS SDA Design Standards. A participant can hold both SIL and SDA.

Registered, audited and ready for what is next
We meet our obligations as a registered NDIS provider, and we are prepared for the strengthened standards arriving across the sector.
Ahead of the 2026 reforms
From 1 July 2026, registration with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission becomes mandatory for all Supported Independent Living providers, alongside new SIL-specific Practice Standards. Rainbow Palm is already a registered provider, with the governance, screening and incident systems these reforms expect.

We deliver against the NDIS Practice Standards, the quality benchmarks that registered providers are audited on, covering rights, governance, service delivery and the provision of supports.
NDIS Code of Conduct
Every worker upholds the NDIS Code of Conduct, acting with respect, honesty and care, and promoting the choice, control and dignity of every participant.
Worker screening & training
All support staff hold current NDIS Worker Screening clearances. We maintain audit-ready training records, with competency checks for high-intensity supports.
Incidents & complaints
We operate clear incident management and complaints systems. Feedback is welcomed and acted on, and serious matters are reported to the NDIS Commission as required.
SDA Design Standards
Where we offer Specialist Disability Accommodation, homes are aligned to the SDA Design Standards for accessibility, safety and liveability.
Person-centred & rights-based
Each home is treated as the participant home first. We promote privacy, choice and control in line with the rights-based direction of the new SIL standards.
